Biography of Daniel Bruce

Upon graduation from Johnson & Wales University Daniel Bruce ventured to Italy and France to broaden his culinary knowledge. Returning to the States, Daniel became one of the youngest executive chefs in the country while working at prestigious restaurants in New York. In 1989 he became the executive chef at the Boston Harbor Hotel where he also launched the Boston Wine Festival now the oldest, and longest running, wine event in the country.

In 2002 Daniel created Meritage a stunning new dining experience within the hotel. Never one to rest on his laurels, Daniel, a two time James Beard award winner as one of the Best Hotel Chefs in America, opened the Intrigue restaurant in a totally redesigned area of the hotel.
